The Ultimate Styling Collection by Curls consists of four styling hair gels. The gels are said to smooth, define, and control your curls. The collection includes the B Smooth Curl Butter Gel, B Defined Curl Defining Gel, B Enviable Creamy Curl Gel, and the B n Control Curl Sculpting Gel. The gels are suitable for wavy to kinky hair types; the hold varies from soft to firm. Each styling gel comes in an 8 oz bottle and retails for $5.99.
Top Knot Bun Using B Smooth Curl Butter Gel
The B Defined Curl Defining Gel is formulated with organic quinoa to strengthen and protect your curls. This gel has a medium hold and can be used for braids or twist outs. The B Enviable Creamy Curl Gel is formulated with marshmallow root to condition and thicken curls. This gel has a medium hold and can be used for roller and rod sets. The B Smooth Curl Butter Gel is formulated with pure beantree for added sheen and moisture.
This gel has a soft and natural hold and can be used for any protective style. The B n Control Curl Sculpting Gel is formulated with certified organic aloe leaf juice to condition while holding curls in place. This gel has a firm hold and can be used for wash n go styles.
The directions written on each bottle differs slightly from the website as it states the gels can be used on your wash-n-go, twist/braid out, roller/rod sets, or any natural style. I opt to use the B Defined Curl Defining Gel and the B Enviable Creamy Curl gel for wash-n-go styles. I used the B Smooth Curl Butter Gel for a protective style. The first thing that I noticed is how great the gels smell. Each one has a nice, fruity scent. The consistency of the gels are on the thinner side and they are a tad sticky. All three gels performed well and I love the added shine after each use.
